Leading flow chemists from Europe and beyond will be descending on the village of Hinxton near Cambridge at the start of March for the Flow Chemistry Europe 2020 Conference (Wellcome Genome Conference Centre, March 3-4).

The two day annual event, organised by Sharp Event Management, will feature presentations from chemists and chemical engineers from both industrial and academic backgrounds covering topics that include emerging techniques such as electrochemistry and photochemistry, the development of multi-step synthesis and applications in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Vapourtec, one of flow chemistry’s pioneering market players, will be showcasing the very latest in system, reactor and component design including, for the first time, their Variable Bed Flow Reactor (VBFR) designed for peptide synthesis.

Vapourtec’s Dr Manuel Nuno commented: “This will be the first opportunity for delegates to witness a demonstration of the capabilities of the VBFR with a recent publication highlighting our collaboration with Peter Seeberger at the Max Plank Institute.

“The VBFR will appear alongside our Ion electrochemical reactor, UV-150 photochemical reactor with new HP LEDs as well as our E-Series and R-Series flow chemistry systems that have contributed to so many significant continuous process advances in recent years,” added Manuel.

Duncan Guthrie, Vapourtec founder and MD, added: “Flow Chemistry Europe is one of the key dates in the diary and, once again, promises to be an excellent forum in which to discuss best practice and the incredible potential of flow chemistry.”
