Sales Team Administrator (full time – 40hrs p/w)

 

An exciting opportunity to work for the world’s leading manufacturer of laboratory-scale flow chemistry instruments, based in Suffolk, East Anglia.

Join our friendly sales team as a Sales Team Administrator, where you’ll play a key role in driving growth and building strong customer relationships. Reporting directly to the Sales Team Leader, you will provide timely quotations, support customers with product inquiries, and collaborate with colleagues to maximise sales opportunities. In this role, you’ll be responsible for generating both short- and long-term leads, engaging with existing customers for reviews and referrals, and exploring new business areas in academia and industry. Main responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate and timely quotations to customers for products and accessories.
  • Maintain strong customer relations through email campaigns and sales-related activities.
  • Regularly monitor the CRM system to identify current and past opportunities, promoting relevant products to customers.
  • Support customers with inquiries, rerouting them to the appropriate department /responsible person where necessary.
  • Help generate leads for both short- and long-term sales opportunities.
  • Engage with the existing customer base to gather reviews, case studies, citations, and referrals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Vapourtec colleagues to maximise sales revenue and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Keep accurate customer contact records within the company CRM system.
  • Agree upon and adhere to key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive sales excellence.
  • Assist the wider sales team with ongoing tenders and sales administration tasks.

Skills (minimum):

  • Highly self-motivated, proactive, quick learner, and organised.
  • Positive, can-do attitude; friendly, creative, and focused.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in the full Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to maintain accurate customer records.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy when completing tasks.

Qualifications (minimum)

  • 1 year of experience in inside sales or administration
  • Experience working for a medium-sized global company.
  • Genuine interest in pursuing a career in customer service and sales.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Outlook.
  • At least 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) in core subjects (English, Maths, Science) at grade C (4) or above.

Desirable:

  • Qualification in Customer Service and/or Sales.
  • Experience using a CRM system to maintain customer records.
  • Prior experience in customer service or sales of technical products.
  • Level 3 qualification in English or Science-based subjects.

Package:

  • Salary: £25,000 – £28,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • 40 hours per week – On-site.
  • 25 days annual holiday + bank holidays.
