The eBPR-GL is a precision back pressure regulator optimised for handing gases and gas-liquid mixtures.

Handling gases and gas-liquid mixture through a BPR can be challenging for two key reasons, i) with most BPRs the leakage rate of gases through the BPR is many times higher than for liquids causing variations in pressure particularly noticeable at lower flowrates, ii) the internal volume of most BPRs is significant and consequently gas-liquid partitions can be lost when pockets of gas accumulate in the BPR.

Through the application of advanced composite materials Vapourtec’s eBPR-GL offers unparalleled performance even with gas-liquid mixtures.
The performance is impressive with Vapourtec’s eBPR-GL delivering precise control of back pressure in the range 0.1 to 10 bar (g) over a flowrate range of 0.01 ml/min to 20 ml/min. It also works with fluid temperatures up to 100 °C.

The wetted flow path of the Vapourtec eBPR-GL has only Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and Perfluoroalkoxy alkanes (PFA) fluoropolymer contact surfaces with FFKM seals.

The eBPR-GL is supplied as standard with the capability to remotely set back pressure via serial commands using RS232 protocols.
