Vapourtec will be attending and presenting at the 3rd edition of the International OligonucIeotides and Peptides Conference (IOPC 2022) due to be held in Milan later this month (27-29 June).
Vapourtec chemist, Victoire Laude, will be delivering a talk titled “Modern peptide synthesis – Applying real-time monitoring to improve synthesis’ efficiency” at 10.30am on Wednesday 29th. The event will highlight key developments and breakthroughs within oligonucleotide and peptide therapeutics and will also feature a number of speeches from key industry individuals.
Victoire explained: “My presentation describes the key achievements in Vapourtec’s work towards gaining benefit from continuous flow SPPS (CF-SPPS) using Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) as example peptide. GLP-1 is a 30-mer peptide the basis for a class of medications used to treat type 2 diabetes. Coupling conditions and anti-racemisation strategies were optimized, as well as cleavage in flow, yielding a crude purity of over 80%. Pumping a TFA cocktail at 50°C has allowed the peptide to be cleaved in under 40 minutes, obtaining repeatable results.”
