With business turnover increasing by 15%, growing trade with Asia and the opening up of new markets, 2016 proved to be an excellent year for UK-based flow chemistry engineering specialists Vapourtec.
Vapourtec founder and MD Duncan Guthrie commented: “We’ve made big strides forward over the course of the last 12 months with another significant year of growth and three new employees recruited within R&D and customer support.
“We export around 85% of the flow chemistry systems we design and manufacture with our best foreign markets in India and China seeing a significant increase in demand.
“Elsewhere in Asia, Polaris Science, our distribution partners in Singapore are increasing their market penetration whilst we’ve also made our first sale to Egypt despite issues with the Egyptian pound.
“Overall we are very well placed to cope with the known challenges posed by Brexit and Vapourtec continues to be a real pioneer in the fast developing field of flow chemistry,” added Duncan.
Looking ahead, the future looks even brighter for Vapourtec with a new, enlarged headquarters taking shape and the prospect of at least two new jobs being created in the short term.
Duncan went on: “We have a lot to look forward. Our new enlarged premises will increase our capacity to offer application support and we will continue to make significant investment in research and development and the launch of new products.”
