1st RSC Protein and Peptide Science Group Conference
Date: 15th – 16th December 2025 – Nottingham – UK
The inaugural RSC Protein and Peptide Science Group (PPSG) Conference brings together researchers advancing peptide synthesis, biomolecular engineering, and protein design. Hosted by the University of Nottingham on 15th and 16th of December 2025, this two-day meeting features a strong technical programme with contributions from leading UK groups, including Dr Andrew Beekman (University of East Anglia), Prof. Anna Peacock (University of Birmingham), Prof. Andrew Jamieson (University of Glasgow), and Prof. Alethea Tabor (University College London).
Vapourtec will be represented by our CSO, Dr Manuel Nuño, who will showcase the new, automated peptide synthesizer, the Peptide-Builder. On day two, Manuel will give a short talk covering high-throughput peptide-library synthesis, preparation of high-purity N-methylated peptides, and insights into the value of precise, real-time synthesis data available uniquely through continuous-flow methodologies.
Conferences like PPSG provide a valuable forum to discuss methodological challenges with the community and to explore how emerging approaches—flow chemistry among them—can complement established solid-phase techniques.
We look forward to the conversations and insights that will emerge from this first PPSG conference.
Bristol Synthesis Meeting 2026
Date: 31st March 2026 – Bristol – UK
Vapourtec will be attending the 23rd Bristol Synthesis Meeting at the University of Bristol on 31st March 2026. Established in 2001, the meeting has become a well-regarded fixture in the UK chemistry community, consistently attracting researchers from academia and industry to discuss developments in synthetic methodology.
This year’s programme brings together an outstanding group of speakers, including:
- Daniele Leonori (RWTH Aachen University)
- Emily Balskus (Harvard University)
Donna Blackmond (Scripps Research) - Darren Dixon (University of Oxford)
- Wilhelm Huck (Radboud University Nijmegen).
Their contributions span photochemistry, biocatalysis and mechanistic analysis, areas where precise reaction control and robust experimental platforms continue to be essential.
Vapourtec will be exhibiting a selection of its laboratory-scale flow chemistry systems. These platforms are designed to support exploratory discovery as well as more advanced development work, offering reproducible control over critical reaction parameters, improved safety for challenging transformations, and a clear route from mesoscale optimization to scalable continuous processes.
Naomi Lawson, Applications Chemist at Vapourtec, will be available for discussions on flow methodologies, practical set-up considerations, and how continuous-flow approaches can complement and extend existing synthetic capabilities.
We look forward to connecting with delegates and contributing to the conversations shaping the future of synthetic chemistry.
Flow Chemistry Europe 2026
Date: 16th – 17th April 2026 – Málaga – Spain
Vapourtec will be attending Flow Chemistry Europe in Málaga on 16th & 17th April 2026, an event organised by the Flow Chemistry Society and centred on the continued evolution of continuous processing in both discovery and manufacturing environments.
This year’s programme highlights several key areas of interest for the community, including:
- Autonomous flow reactors
- Digitalisation and process intensification
- Biobased and enzymatic methods
- Handling of highly reactive intermediates.
Each of these themes reflects the growing drive toward more efficient, integrated, and data-rich process development.
Vapourtec’s CSO, Dr Manuel Nuño, will be exhibiting Vapourtec products and will be available for discussions throughout the meeting. Manuel will also deliver a short talk covering recent developments and examples from notable published research.
Events like this offer a valuable forum for exchanging ideas on how best to integrate these capabilities into existing workflows.
We look forward to engaging with delegates in Málaga.
ACS Fall 2026
Date: 23rd – 27th August 2026 – Chicago – USA
Vapourtec will be taking part in ACS Fall 2026, Chicago, IL, from August 23rd – 27th, 2026. One of the key international gatherings for chemists working across discovery, process development, and emerging technologies. The meeting brings together academic and industrial researchers to share advances in synthesis, automation, sustainable chemistry, and new reaction methodologies.
Representing Vapourtec this year is Ali Deuchars, who will be available throughout the conference to discuss practical aspects of flow chemistry, system capabilities, and how continuous processing can support both early-stage research and more advanced development programmes.
As interest grows in scalable, data-driven experimentation and the design of safer, more efficient processes, flow platforms offer a route to greater reproducibility and improved control over challenging transformations.
We look forward to meeting delegates at ACS Fall.
