The miracle machine that makes drugs cheaper

Wundermaschine - Vapourtec

Date: 3 March 2015 | Category: News

Vapourtec’s E-Series flow chemistry system has been described in the popular German newspaper Bild as a “Wundermaschine” that dramatically reduces the cost of manufacturing drugs.

The article (dated 28 February) profiles the pioneering research work of Professor Peter Seeberger and his young team of scientists at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces in Dahlem, Germany.

The E-Series is described in Bild, the sixth largest circulation newspaper in the world, as a ‘device slightly larger than a bread maker’

with the manufacture of AIDS drug Efavirenz mentioned as a recent success story.

Vapourtec has been working closely with Professor Seeberger for the last four years. The E-Series and R-Series has been cited in a number of peer review publications concerning his research breakthroughs with the most recent being:

A Concise Flow Synthesis of Efavirenz
