In the latest installment of our Meet the Team series, we’re introducing our Chemistry Sales Specialist; Harold Rupapa.
Since joining in May Harold has focused on attending customer meetings, responding to enquiries, preparing quotes, and working with clients to configure systems tailored to their needs.
Harold was drawn to the field of flow chemistry during his 5-years work on API synthesis with Professor Paul Watts at Nelson Mandela University, recognising the potential to lower costs and improve access to life-saving drugs. He is passionate about how flow chemistry can drive a meaningful change in healthcare.
Harold enjoys the collaborative spirit at Vapourtec, where teamwork and continual innovation create an exciting work environment.
Outside of work, he enjoys good food and watching NFL and Premier League football. Though he admits to being shy at times, he speaks four languages.
Harold’s personal philosophy stems from advice given to him by a priest: “You weren’t born to fit in, but to stand out.” Looking ahead, Harold’s primary focus is completing the write up of his PhD, and he hopes to continue contributing to the advancement of flow chemistry.
