Vapourtec is pleased to be taking part in the 2026 Pint of Science festival, supporting an event focused on modern chemical synthesis and reaction design.

The session, “Synthesising Reactions”, will take place on 19th May 2026 at The Station Tavern, Cambridge, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm, as part of the UK-wide Pint of Science programme.

The evening will feature two talks exploring current approaches to synthesis. Dr Adam Noble (University of Bristol) will present “Making molecules with light – photocatalysis from flasks to tubes guided by Beer”, looking at how light can be used to drive chemical reactions, including in flow systems. He will be followed by Vapourtec CSO Dr Manuel Nuño, who will present “From Slow to Flow: Rethinking Peptide Synthesis”, showing how fast-flow methods can improve crude purity, provide greater control, and deliver more reliable results—while also reducing synthesis time.

Pint of Science is an international, non-profit festival that brings researchers out of the lab and into informal settings such as pubs and cafés, making it easier for people to engage with science in a relaxed environment.

This event reflects Vapourtec’s focus on enabling controlled, high-quality chemical synthesis through flow chemistry, while also supporting wider engagement with the scientific community.

The Vapourtec team will be there on the night, with a few giveaways available for attendees.

Tickets are limited, so early booking is recommended.
