Pd-catalyzed aminations, recognized as a powerful and widely utilized method for C–N bond construction, have traditionally been conducted using unsustainable technologies involving egregious organic solvents, elevated temperatures, prolonged reaction times, and high palladium catalyst loadings. Only recently have greener protocols been developed, in which recyclable aqueous media and nontraditional organic solvents have been employed. Additionally, alternatives to conventional batch methods for amine synthesis have been introduced, such as continuous flow and mechanochemistry, both of which are considered safer and more sustainable approaches for achieving chemical transformations relevant to the fine chemicals industry.
