Les r\u00e9actifs sont ajout\u00e9s, par pompage, dans un m\u00e9langeur, puis passent dans un tuyau, un tube ou un r\u00e9acteur microstructur\u00e9 \u00e0 temp\u00e9rature contr\u00f4l\u00e9e, jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 ce que la r\u00e9action soit compl\u00e8te.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col span_5\">\n<p><a class=\"image-wrap\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vapourtec.com\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2014\/08\/Flow-chemistry-example.jpg\" data-fslightbox=\"gallery\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-46\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vapourtec.com\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2014\/08\/Flow-chemistry-example.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"289\" height=\"124\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Le m\u00e9langeur et le r\u00e9acteur sont normalement maintenus \u00e0 la temp\u00e9rature appropri\u00e9e pour favoriser la r\u00e9action souhait\u00e9e. Les r\u00e9actifs peuvent toutefois \u00e9galement \u00eatre expos\u00e9s \u00e0 un flux \u00e9lectrique ou un flux de photons, afin de promouvoir une r\u00e9action \u00e9lectrochimique ou photochimique.<\/p>\n<h2>Traitement discontinu vs traitement en flux<\/h2>\n<p>Les <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vapourtec.com\/flow-chemistry\/advantages-of-continuous-flow-production\/\">avantages de la chimie de flux, par rapport \u00e0 la chimie discontinue conventionnelle, sont les suivants<\/a> :<\/p>\n<p><strong>S\u00e9curit\u00e9 renforc\u00e9e des r\u00e9actions en cas de manipulation de mati\u00e8res dangereuses.<\/strong> L&#8217;excellente performance en termes d&#8217;\u00e9vacuation de la chaleur permet de contr\u00f4ler les r\u00e9actions fortement exothermiques en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9. La quantit\u00e9 de mati\u00e8res dangereuses en cours de traitement peut \u00eatre minimis\u00e9e avec le traitement en flux, par rapport au traitement discontinu.<\/p>\n<p><strong>S\u00e9curit\u00e9 renforc\u00e9e des r\u00e9actions impliquant un d\u00e9gagement gazeux.<\/strong> La chimie de flux permet de limiter le d\u00e9bit maximal de d\u00e9gagement gazeux en fonction du d\u00e9bit auquel les r\u00e9actifs sont ajout\u00e9s par pompage. Dans les r\u00e9acteurs discontinus, le d\u00e9bit de d\u00e9gagement gazeux peut devenir incontr\u00f4lable et provoquer une explosion.<\/p>\n<p><strong>S\u00e9curit\u00e9 renforc\u00e9e \u00e0 pressions \u00e9lev\u00e9es.<\/strong> Les r\u00e9acteurs continus ne n\u00e9cessitent pas d&#8217;espace de t\u00eate, ce qui \u00e9limine les risques associ\u00e9s aux gaz\/vapeurs comprim\u00e9s \u00e0 haute pression.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Permet des conditions de r\u00e9action impossibles \u00e0 reproduire avec des r\u00e9acteurs discontinus.<\/strong> Les temps de r\u00e9action en flux peuvent \u00eatre contr\u00f4l\u00e9s avec pr\u00e9cision (jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 la seconde pr\u00e8s), permettant ainsi de g\u00e9n\u00e9rer rapidement des interm\u00e9diaires r\u00e9actifs qui pourront \u00eatre imm\u00e9diatement utilis\u00e9s dans une nouvelle phase de la r\u00e9action.<\/p>\n<p><strong>R\u00e9actions plus rapides.<\/strong> Les r\u00e9acteurs continus peuvent \u00eatre mis sous pression de fa\u00e7on simple et s\u00e9curis\u00e9e. Cela permet d&#8217;obtenir des temp\u00e9ratures de r\u00e9action largement sup\u00e9rieures au point d&#8217;\u00e9bullition normal des solvants, offrant ainsi des vitesses de r\u00e9action \u00e9tant plusieurs milliers de fois sup\u00e9rieures \u00e0 celles obtenues dans des conditions de reflux.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rapidit\u00e9 des extrapolations <\/strong>Les difficult\u00e9s associ\u00e9es \u00e0 l&#8217;extrapolation des r\u00e9actions discontinues sont bien connues. Les r\u00e9actions continues peuvent \u00eatre extrapol\u00e9es beaucoup plus facilement : il suffit pour cela de les ex\u00e9cuter pendant une p\u00e9riode prolong\u00e9e ou en utilisant des d\u00e9bits plus \u00e9lev\u00e9s et en augmentant en cons\u00e9quence la taille des r\u00e9acteurs.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vapourtec.com\/products\/flow-reactors\/photochemistry-uv-150-photochemical-reactor-features\/\"><strong>R\u00e9actions photochimiques.<\/strong><\/a> Les r\u00e9acteurs photochimiques discontinus conventionnels pr\u00e9sentent un certain nombre de limites, en particulier sur le plan de l&#8217;extrapolation des r\u00e9actions photochimiques. L&#8217;association du flux continu avec la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vapourtec.com\/flow-chemistry\/photochemistry\/\">photochimie<\/a> permet d&#8217;am\u00e9liorer les conditions de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et de supprimer ces limites associ\u00e9es aux r\u00e9acteurs discontinus.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vapourtec.com\/products\/flow-automation-and-analysis\/\"><strong>Int\u00e9gration des processus aval.<\/strong><\/a> Les processus, traitements conclusifs et analyses men\u00e9s en aval peuvent \u00eatre int\u00e9gr\u00e9s au sein du processus de flux. Il est ainsi possible d&#8217;int\u00e9grer des op\u00e9rations telles que le traitement conclusif aqueux, des colonnes d&#8217;\u00e9limination des m\u00e9taux ou encore des r\u00e9sines \u00e9changeuses d&#8217;ions. Les techniques d&#8217;analyse en ligne (UV, conductivit\u00e9, pH et m\u00eame FTIR) peuvent \u00eatre ais\u00e9ment mises en \u0153uvre.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Optimisation des r\u00e9actions et d\u00e9pistage des r\u00e9actifs.<\/strong> L&#8217;automatisation des exp\u00e9riences de chimie de flux assure une variation rapide des conditions de r\u00e9action. Elle permet \u00e9galement d&#8217;ex\u00e9cuter les r\u00e9actions sans surveillance et \u00e0 petite \u00e9chelle.
